Would you kindly let me play golf in peace in my underwater dystopia?

For all of y'all thinking about typing it out, the video is no longer available.

We'll never know.

This is why you always copy something innocuous immediately after

If you insist.

Edit: Are those separate requests or all at once?

[-] MelodiousFunk@slrpnk.net 12 points 5 days ago

Remember class sometimes in Japanese no means yes

Edit: before anyone thinks I’m making a rape joke. No. In Japan there is this weird cultural thing where Japanese women have to seem demure or shy. And they continue that appearance even during sex. Hence why many Japanese women will say things like だめ (dah-meh) which means no, やめて (yamete) which means stop or いたい (itai) which means it hurts during sex. But they actually mean the opposite.

[-] squid_slime@lemm.ee 8 points 4 days ago

And how do I unlearn this?

[-] Rentlar@lemmy.ca 4 points 4 days ago

Yeah, that's what it means when it is said in the "you're so naughty" sort of way.

[-] feedum_sneedson@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago

In my experience, Japanese women say "I'm come" during sex. Hopefully they don't mean the opposite.

[-] Numenor@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

Hi come, I'm Dad.

You should watch "Ongezellig", an animated pilot with 5 short episodes á 5 minutes.

You will get the relevance to this comment in the first episode.

"Ongezellig" is dutch and means "unsociable".

It's a story about three adoptive sisters Maya, Coco and Mymy. It's in dutch, but the subtitles are great.

check it out

[-] P4ulin_Kbana@lemmy.eco.br 2 points 3 days ago

I approve this. You should go watch "Ongezellig" right now!

[-] TheEighthDoctor@lemmy.world 15 points 4 days ago

One time I was looking for /r/tinder and copied "tinder" from my clipboard to a teams chat with a colleague. I didn't even try to explain, it would only make me look more sus.
