Sunk cost fallacy is probably the most obvious one that springs to mind. Not unlike gambling in a sense, people feel they just need one big payout to win it all back and then some, so they keep betting, hoping that this time things will go in their favour.
Pretty sure I'm O+, I've got that basic blood. But I got blacklisted when I was younger from donating, first time I went in I managed to get knocked out and go into full convulsions (unfortunately was there with my mum and it traumatised her for a bit afterwards π ). Few weeks later I got a letter basically telling me thank you for coming but please don't come again.

It isn't, but it's like when you have someone that everyone knows has ADHD who finally gets a diagnosis. It's good for everyone that it's finally on record and they can get the support they need.

We've all had that moment where stuff gets a deep discount not too soon after we've bought it. Everyone else who was also debating making that same purchase but didn't is now thanking you for being the one to make the sacrifice and pay full price to enable the discount to happen π«‘
