Absolutely I care, and I want all of the details and pictures. It brings me great joy to see my homies living exciting lives, and I'm thankful to be part of that. With children, especially - they feel like nieces and nephews and I am inherently invested in their wellbeing and success, even for long-distance friendships in which I've never met the kiddos.

I don't have any family of my own, so my Will and estate is divided amongst my friends, and those with kids are allotted a bigger piece of the pie so they can put it towards their college or whatever when I die.

There's plenty of diversity if you join boards focused on them, like LGBTQ communities. I think the defaults just lean excessively into the demographic you described.

Literally my ex rn. He bled me dry financially and now has to be a big boy and pay his own bills for once. 😂

Yeah for real. Bear is so gamey. It's really only worth eating in a stew, cooked until it's beyond well done and falling apart.

Exactly - People don't seem to realize that cloud gaming responsiveness only really matters in competitive games and shooters. Turn based games or more casual games run perfectly fine with fast Internet.

Everything about the book is just dull and frustrating.

I don't lift weights these days. I need to work on that.

This is unironically close to my routine. I wake up at 5, walk the dog for 30-60 minutes, have breakfast, then start work before anyone else so I can get shit done before people start showing up. I wrap up my day around 2pm, walk for 1-2 hours, make dinner, then chill. It's worked well for me.

Catcher in the Rye. I try it again every couple of years just to see if I can relate to it, and nope - it's still just as stupid as the first time I read it.

Nintendo could have raked in millions by doing it themselves, but they prefer their closed ecosystem.

I was an IT help desk manager for 10 years. Your attire is perfect, and it's a good sign that you're concerned about looking professional.

Here's a pro tip - In your interview you will almost certainly be asked how you'd solve an issue that you have no idea how to approach. What they're looking for is how you'll respond emotionally. The correct answer is to assure the end user that you will find a solution, don't panic, and then check internal documentation. "Have we run into this before?" Insist that the company should never have to solve the same issue twice because documentation is paramount. Never be afraid to say that you'd escalate the issue but KEEP OWNERSHIP. Ownership is huge to these people.

I'd be glad to go into more detail about what they'll be looking for if it will be helpful.

I won't wish you good luck because you've already got this!
