Russia only has $31billion worth of Yuan left in the national wealth fund, which also acts as the reserve of the Central Bank. So needing to sell $7.3billion worth of Yuan to stabalize the Rubel is quite a large burden and with it seeming to be too little, this is a giant nightmare for Russia.

Just look at Jill Steins Twitter. She is basically Gaza and attacks on the Democrats. She exclusivly attacks the Democrats. No attacks at all on Trump or the Republicans in general. She also has no problem with climate change or enviromental problems. That is very intressting for a supposed Green Party.

Other countries with similar electoral systems have Green parties with seats in national parliaments. Compare that with the UK Green Party. They are perfectly able to not just talk about Gaza, but also about UBI, more renewables, public transit, 4 day workweek and so many more left issues.

It does a few things. First of all Russia seems to lack military assets in the region, so Ukraine can advance rather easily. Russia has to take back that land, otherwise Putin looses a lot of his reputation and it is obviously something to be traded in in peace negotitations. So Russia has to move troops and material from where they have them, which is in the south. Ukraine has been blowing up train engines, so that is not easy and Russia has been loosing tanks, ifv and all sorts of other vehicles for years. They also need more fighting power to push the Ukranians out, which is most likely going to happen. In the meantime Ukraine gets to shoot at unorganized units setting up, take hostages and really make the Russians think about the war being worth it.

If Ukraine pushes far enough, there is a very defensible line further north, which is shorter and mostly protected by rivers. However that is really pushing it. However if I would be Ukraine, now would be a great time to blow up the Kerch bridge. F-16 just arrived and with that probably some intressting new missiles.

It says "Commentary" right on top. That means it is a comment and not an analysis. So maybe just read the damn commentary, before starting to insult people.

Wenn man aktiv die deutsche Wirtschaft zerstört indem man an der schwarze Null festhalten will und somit ein wirklich notwendiges Kojukturpaket verschläft verdient das.

Most of Germanys richest families have inherited their wealth from Nazi times. Many still think that way and somewhat control the media. I certainly can think of a solution.

Wie wäre es mit höheren Staatsausgaben für sinnvolle Infrastruktur, Wohnhäuser, grüne Technolgie, Energiewende, Bahn oder ähnliches. Nur so als Idee an den Christian.

The subsidies did not run out. They were cut overnight, without much warning, so the industry could not adapt. Even worse they cut legally guranteed subsidies of already finished projects, meaning nobody in the industry trusted the government anymore, as subsidies cut be cut at any point without warning.

Industry needs a stable planning enviroment. If you cut heavy subsidies do it over time in clearly communicated steps, not overnight and breaking previous gurantees.

After WW2 Stalin wanted to get Germany. So he proposed to allow a united Germany, if it would be neutral. Obviously the plan was to have a neutral Germany under Stalins rule, but that goes without saying. However he needed West Germany to agree to this. So he allowed Austria, which was in a similar situation, to unite as a real democracy, as long as they stay neutral. Naturally he also made sure there are a lot of Soviet spies in Austria and Austria got some nice deals with the Soviets.

Nowadays Austria still profits of these connections to Russia and the political leadership class was never fully replaced as with the Communist countries further east. So the FBS had an easy time to just keep up influence. Then Austria moved to the right. Now they also have a facist party, which was in government for years and a bunch of close Russia connections going all the way to Ibiza.
