Bin night in our area. Bins vs winds will take place overnight. Place your bets.

Omg. What did your partner have to say? Did he help clean up?

I’ll never understand the adoration of politicians in America. The rallies, the banners, the concert style appearances, tshirts, celebrity endorsements. Can you imaging such a thing for Albo, Dutton or anyone in Aus? I greatly prefer our attitude - view them all with a healthy disdain and vote for the one you least dislike.

I suspect my doctors has now got an automatic pre-recorded message you have to listen to before reception pick up the call. They always used to answer pretty quickly, but in the last year literally never pick up. Automated ‘Welcome to blah blah. If it’s an emergency hang up call 000. You can now make appointments online at blah blah blah details, opening hours, useless info’ etc and it goes for a full several minutes before someone picks up. I think they are trying to minimise answering calls. Look I know how to use the online bookings, if I’m calling it’s because I have a question. Annoying.

I’ve just caught up on the Australian breakdancer. It’s so very bad. The sprinkler and the play school kangaroo hop moves were great, but the sprayed roach was glorious. I watched on repeat laughing. 5 stars.

I’m really tired of the enshitification of clothes. You used to be able to wear, wash, even tumble dry a tshirt for years before it wore out. Now they go out of shape after a single wash. I would happily pay for good quality if it existed, but the extra $ for expensive brands is paying only for the logo, not quality. I’ve had a comedic realisation this is what it will be for the rest of my life, I don’t see clothes quality going back to how it was. RIP my wardrobe forever. Welcome to the future - no world peace, flying cars or spaceships. Just shitty tshirts.

It really breaks my heart when I see this. I once saw a woman aggressively screech ‘shut up you cnts’ to her two toddlers crying in a supermarket. Seriously what chance do these kids have? When youth crime is committed, people often comment ‘where are the parents’. Well the parents are deadshits who don’t care and were probably doing the same thing when they were kids. We can’t expect these kids will get help from their families, but no other options for ‘parenting’ are available other than foster care. All you can do is hope that against the odds, as adults they are able to overcome the shitty birth lottery they got, and start a normal life. The ones who succeed are truly amazing.

Today saw a person wearing an oodie in Kmart, and someone in pyjamas in the supermarket. I think we have all collectively decided fuckit, it’s too cold.

I had grand plans for all sorts of tasks today but have achieved nothing so far. The drizzly cold is not helping motivation levels. It’s now officially a do nothing day except make dinner. Having slow cooked osso bucco with mash. Will be consumed with a good wine.

It’s not the shopping, it’s not the cooking. It’s thinking what to cook and cleanup that tires me. I know someone that eats the same meal on each night, eg pasta Monday, taco Tuesday etc. Planning is easier sure but I think the boredom would kill me. And the endless life chore of dishes is soul sucking.

Feeling very blah today. Struggling for motivation. One of those ‘what the hell am I doing with my life’ days.
