My partner played lots of outdoor sport in his youth so he has some skin damage but from his mid 20s when I met him I encouraged proper sun safe behaviours and to moisturise. We live in Australia for Christ sake, this sun is not fucking around.

He's got mates of all ages but some of the blokes in their late 20s seem to think looking after their skin is a feminine trait and they play outdoor sports. When he's been out with these guys, people think he's the youngest despite being over 10 years their senior.

It's so silly. Put some sunblock on and moisturize. It's not that hard.

My parents were adults in the 1970s. They sure as shit didn't use the n bomb. The whole 'it was a different time' thing extends only so far.

Cv vs resume. Different.

It's both sweet and bland somehow. Pointless.

Sounds like they have some nasty views irrespective of politics. Treating gay and trans people like people has nothing to do with politics.

We're a similar age. I've let go of people who voiced these views a long time ago. It's not that our politics don't align, it's the fact that they're an ignorant, offensive piece of shit... And I'm not.

Driving past a school the other day this is what I saw re the kids waiting for the bus/to be picked up

None of them were talking to each other. Just staring at their phones. Just seemed sad.

Went to the movies the other day. Two women in their 60s were regularly lighting up the row by reading text messages and their message tones kept going off throughout. When the movie ended and me and my friend were discussing what we thought of it, those two just sat silently playing with their phones.

I'm regularly almost side swiped driving by soccer mums my age (late 30s) looking at their phones rather than the road, with a bunch of kids in the back, all on their phones.

They're important devices and critical for the world we live in. But it's not healthy to be indifferent to the world around you while you stare at these rectangles, all the time.

It's not just one generation. The boomers are shocking. But we're letting down alpha.

I tried Kombucha for the first time the other day.

I don't get it.

It wasn't terrible but I'd rather have a beer or a juice. Not whatever that was.

Eh it feels like a low effort Reddit response. Copypastas can stay there.

He's really giving Victorian-era feeble, consumptive, bedridden child.

No one? I'm sorry but I just think that's unrealistic. People clearly like the food, it's convenient, likely part of a habit or ritual for many people. If people feel like Wendy's, that's where they'll go.

You must be a dodecahedron with all that edge.

If you find yourself writing the words 'round them up' about human beings, that's the time to step away from the keyboard and go think about how you got where you are and why.
