The header defines the language, but laws follow political borders, so it makes sense. E.g. which country's eula would you show for a German speaker Germany, Austria or Switzerland?

It doesn't help much if your cousins signed up with their real name. If you are male, they can figure out your surname even if no close relative submitted samples: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surname_DNA_project

If you would read the article you would know that the title is perfectly correct, as currently it's only available to Win, other platforms are just planned.

It's an RDP client you can connect to pcs on the network or vms on azure

Congratulations!

Small reminder, if you don't remember from last time it was posted to all communities on lemmy, this is still a project by cryptobros:

What is the relationship between Radicle and the Radworks ($RAD) token?

Radicle is a true peer-to-peer protocol. It doesn’t use nor depend on any blockchain or cryptocurrency.

Radworks, the organization that has been financing Radicle is organized around the RAD token which is a governance token on Ethereum.

This doesn’t pass the smell test.

  • Instructs to pipe the output of curl in sh
  • Assumes that sh is bash [1]
  • “Community” behind it is apparently originating in Berlin, and is now a “nonprofit foundation in Switzerland”, but has no publicly disclosed legal structure anymore.
  • “Community” behind it uses discord, but not revolt, matrix, simplex or others.
  • “Community” behind it uses twitter, but not mastodon.
  • Cryptobros.

MicroG works really well

A free-as-in-freedom re-implementation of Google’s proprietary Android user space apps and libraries.

Aaron Swartz story is a bit different, because he actually paid for those documents via taxpayer money.

But other parts of your comment is true. A good analogy: if someone leaves their house open, and you walk in, that is still ~~burglary~~ trespassing.

Firefox can remove it automatically if you use the "copy without tracking" option in the rightclick menu. It works on thr url bar and on any links on any websites not just on yt.

I found they have a newsletter, that sounds like an acceptable middle ground, not good, not terrible.

During the first 3 seasons Simpsons was animated by KlaskyCsupo, "animation executive producer" and "supervising animation director" was Gábor Csupó. After he left animation style changed to more conventional.

So while the characters, writing and plotlines were not as genial as in the following seasons the animation style was much more interesting, with strange perspectives and point of views, distorted spaces, etc. Just look at this early recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LUf-GGHpuU

Forget docker run, docker compose up -d is the command you need on a server. Get familiar with a UI, it makes your life much easier at the beginning: portainer or yacht in the browser, lazy-docker in the terminal.

I think it shouldn't be managed on lemmy side but on the users' side, e.g. on your device/browser. Libredirect can automatically redirect to those sites, not on just lemmy, but everywhere on the internet: https://libredirect.github.io/

Another problem is these alternative frontends relatively frequently disappear. If you post a link to a random instance, it's quite possible that 5 years later the instance will be down, and the link won't work at all. Libredirect addon updates the urls of working instances, so it will work later. There is even a button in the addon to switch to another instance, so you can find the best available site.

Edit: I misunderstood what are these sites, they are not imgur frontends but separate image host websites, so this comment is just about the first paragraph.
