The core problem is if you have people's attention that is worth money, and it will always be a corrupting influence in any medium.

I agree with what other people have said plus:

The bed should only be used for sleeping, when you wake up get out of bed and don't go back. Don't use your laptop or phone in bed, if you still have a tv - don't watch it in bed.

This helps set the situational subconscious expectation that the bed is for sleeping.

Meat is probably the wrong term, because to be a complete diet, the entire animal needs to be consumed - not just the muscle.

As with all things there is a spectrum of adherence. Some carnivores just like eating meat in a otherwise omnivore diet, some are strictly animal based products only.

There are some differences in vitamin availability (C comes to mind, which is actually in liver, but not to the currently recommended levels) - But curiously carnivore only populations like the historic Inuit did not suffer from scurvy. This is a area of intense debate, where we could discuss bioavailability of different food sources (liver is the supremely best bioavailable source of nutrition I'm aware of)

I think the most popular use of pure carnivore is for people trying to fix gut / bowel issues - carnivore can be a diagnostic tool - eliminate all foods except one, once things have stabilized, introduce foods back in slowly until symptoms appear.

People you trust, in real life, is a good start

If you find value in the book, it doesn't matter who wrote it. Now... author reputation is a good metric, if a AI is consistently pumping out good books... then its time to welcome the robot overlords.

Asking other people you trust for recommendations is a great starting point.

I talk about all of the problems we ran into trying to make The Temple of Elemental Evil. TLDW: these problems were all my fault. p.s. this is a long video that is less positive than my other ones, but there are some good lessons to learn in it. Consider this video a cautionary tale of game development.

Just picked up DOS1 in the steam sale; just started playing only 4 hours into it. I started a tactician run, I've been party wiped about 8 times so far.

so far I enjoy it, great voice acting. Some of the UX improvements in BG3 would be welcome, but its not too bad.

It's neat because you see the arc of the Larian engine over time.

How to define time? What are arrows of time? What's all the fuzz about entropy? What does it have to do with the Big Bang? What's the Arrow of Radiation? What is the Fork Asymmetry? Why do we remember the past and not the future? Is time a macroscopic phenomenon? And if god doesn't play dice, what game DOES he play?

A place to discuss metabolic health research, papers, lectures, diets, etc. I spend a good deal of time soaking up this area of research - Thought I'd just start publicly journaling my notes and maybe kick off a new community.

Introducing a vertical circular bus - A giant O of belts and lifters fully connected allowing for input / output anywhere along the bus.

Pros :

  • Modular, you can build anywhere on the vertical bus stack
  • Limits spaghetti by providing a clear and easy to access API for all players.
  • Very fast to reach all parts of the factory since everything is very concentrated into a cube of productivity.

Cons :

  • Satisfactory netcode doesn't like SUPER dense areas, so it could become problematic for multiplayer.
  • There is no priority mergers yet in Satisfactory, so if you want to prioritize a input to the bus you downgrade the belts/lifters feeding INTO the priority input, that way the belt will back up and the priority input will provide the bulk of the material.

Nevermind! Apparently a satisfactory community already exists and this is being redundant. !satisfactory@lemmy.world <- Exists and is awesome.
