Wow that's messed up. I guess the only recourse then would be to ask someone or some local business if you could setup the server there for a fee, but at that point just use a cloud service provider and it's the same experience for about the same cost.

Your ISP bans self hosting? I've never heard of that before.

For most personal projects, hosting on the cloud may be overkill, but tempting with its supposed ease of use and benefits of scale. Self-hosting is often overlooked as a solution with the benefit of simplicity and cost.

Interesting discussion and demonstration of self hosting the kinds of apps most personal projects will end being.

If you ever have (unfortunately) heard of his absolutely dogshit book, then his inability to understand deeper meanings, subtext, themes, and to grapple with a competent plot should not surprise you in the least. Robert Evans, Cody Johnston, and Katy Stoll read it through on Behind The Bastards in a few episodes. Imagine the novelization of a Steven Seagal movie adaption of a Jack Ryan plotline. Combine that with how ol Benny really wanted, and failed, to be a screenplay writer, and it makes sense his absolute hatred for modern Hollywood movies that don't say all the things he likes.

Mississippi is absolutely the apartheid model you can expect Republicans to look to for guidance on expanding apartheid to every corner they control

I was gonna say, if you gave this to someone with little tech skills you could make them believe it was Windows probably forever

I was working recently on making a fairly simple model in Blender that used a shader for a particular. The core magic of the shader was the Brick Texture node. I tried experimenting with different solutions personally in Godot to recreate it since the export to the engine from Blender looked awful. Unfortunately, I've hit the limits of my limited shader skills. Does anyone know how they would go about recreating the Blender node in shader lang?

While I'm not the largest fan of the windowslike style, Zorin looks impressively clean and sleek.

While I'm waiting for more nozzles to arrive in the mail, I'd thought I'd ask the new community here for their thoughts on my issue with the Swiss Micro All-Metal hot-end. Since upgrading to it, I haven't noticed a remarkable difference between it and the stock one in terms of nozzle wear and clogs. I've reassembled it, I believe twice now just to make sure everything is to spec installation-wise. I also haven't ruled out human error and have tried adjusting settings like retraction, as well as trying to not leave filament in it while cooling down. However, the nozzles and heating block still are covered in blackened goo, and the nozzles only last for about a month (with fairly light, and infrequent use).

I should also mention, I'm not using exotic filaments or crazy combos, just PLA or PLA+ kept in dry, sealed storage.
