It's weird that the axes of where "centre" is remain stable over time. Can you imagine comparing "left vs right" between the 1890s and the 1920s? Like a bunch of stuff happened in between, history happened, and that tends to redefine left, right and centre.

Is Israel still ethnically cleansing Palestine?

So, like, are Israeli reservists fair game for terror attacks?

First, these yahoos have no credibility after repeatedly lying and covering their criminal asses, so just from it's sources, this very neat explanation is suspect from the get go.

Second, the very framing of the situation (unknown gunmen hijackers) is itself highly loaded and designed to make the Israelis and their enablers to feel OK about an attack on an aid convoy. It is meant to convey certainty that these were nefarious Nazgûl that just had to be taken out. For all we know, they could just as well be non-hamas good Samaritan actors trying to help the aid workers navigate the ruins of the bombed out ghetto because there is a famine going on. We have no way of knowing without an independent investigation. But that's impossible because Netanyahu's political survival depends on a forever war.

Third, there is obviously here the narrative of the moral army, that only takes necessary action, very carefully etc. This narrative seems to only come up when non-palestinians are involved, as is the case here, because Palestinian lives simply don't really matter to them. Again, notice how there is zero information or concern about who the dead actually were and what their motivations and behaviour actually was. They simply don't matter: they were Palestinians.

The fact that this is breaking on the BBC, also should tell you something about the state of press freedom in Mitsotakis' Greece.

The plaintiffs allege that the groups have "created an environment of hate on campus," which they say has made them uncomfortable to attend classes and exams. They also allege they have faced harassment and intimidation from the defendants.

None of the allegations have been proven in court.

In Wednesday's ruling, Justice Chantal Massé wrote the plaintiffs failed to show that the protests were causing irreparable harm, nor was there any indication at this point that the protesters intended to block access to exams or McGill's buildings.

The judge pointed out that the plaintiffs have not themselves dealt with harassment, violent acts or threats. She also wrote that she only needed to consider the interests of the plaintiffs — not the public's.

So fucking glad to see the trivialization and weaponization of antisemitism with bogus allegations get struck down so cleanly.

If they beat up someone, they should be charged with the crime they did. Why do new crimes need to be invented?

Before the Serbs started the genocide of Bosnians, they were the subject of atrocious attacks by Bosnians. Look up the Green Berets or Salon Mahmuljin. The Serbs were also carrying the memory of the Ustasha genocide against them during WW2. They had a victim mentality, they felt their national survival was at stake and they had been brutally attacked. They then committed genocide.

The atrocities of October 7 have (tragically!) been eclipsed by the genocidal campaign that has followed them.

Meanwhile they keep supporting Netanyahu, an actual funder of Hamas.

Excellent point. I propose a cease fire so international observers can enter Gaza to verify these claims.
