This must be that famous Republican commitment to free speech and opposition to "cancel culture".
What a weird situation where all the institutions of the country that talks the most about "free speech" constantly struggle to ban any criticism of a completely different country that is engaging in obvious genocide.
The really weird move is how right-wing attitudes in the USA have gone from distrust of government and its "interference" in their lives, through distrust of autocracy, to strong support for fascist autocracy that would be highly oppressive and invasive into people's lives. The last step is astonishing.
“Milton looks like another man-made storm, and it looks like Trump voters are victims. Is this really what’s happening?”
Yes! Great to see you have figured it out - better late than never! Now you can help us campaign for action on climate change!
“Biden and Harris are messing with the weather! Hurricane Milton was sent to Florida just like the other hurricane to wipe Florida out!! They know those are mostly Trump supporters who live in that state, so 85% of them won’t be able to vote next month,”
Ah ffs...
It's possible Putin asked for them as a little loyalty test, and a story to have in his back pocket.
And yet his supporters when polled say they like him because he'll do the best at reducing the cost of living. They probably believe he will reduce their taxes. They live in an information vacuum and only listen to media that tells them lies. No amount of campaigning will overcome this, because it's the dynamics of a cult, not a political debate.
It hasn't been steadily downhill. There was a plunge downwards with Windows 8, then 8.1 recovered a little and 10 more, before Windows 11 undid the gains.
It would be nice to press these people on why they think that, though it's probably just "that's what I heard."
The strong win and the weak cry about injustice. Maybe next time they’ll not bombard Israel with rockets if the price tag is too high.
Spoken like a true fascist.
It's slightly different but no smarter.
There go the Republicans again with their commitment to free speech.
